Jr Electrical Estimator

Kelly Engineering has a great opportunity for a Junior Electrical Estimator in their Atlanta Metroplex Office, located close to Smyrna, GA.  They are looking for an experience electrical industry professional looking to grow in a new company.  This role will be trained as an Estrimator, usint the candidates Electrial knowledge. The Electrical Estimator will take responsibility for end-to-end electrical take off and cost estimating and coordinate with the rest of the estimation team. This position will support the detailed production, evaluation, and verification of estimates for projects of varying size and scale. The person in this position must exhibit decisiveness in recognizing key factors and provide input to make timely and accurate estimates. 
Essential Functions: • Coordinate the engineering quantity take-off for projects.  • Contact subcontractors and suppliers requesting quotes to successfully bid a project. • Utilize estimating system to comprise an accurate budget or bid. • Confer with field operations on project requirements, productions, job restrictions, staffing, competitive advantages, subcontractor experience, etc., when possible. • Prepare accurate bidding documents with complete scopes of work. • Work with other design and engineering departments ensuring bid package is submitted in accordance with company bidding guidelines.  • Must be able to perform conceptual electrical estimates based on limited drawings and specifications. • Strong communication with Designers, Engineers, and Subcontractors. • Thorough understanding of industrial construction systems, means and methods. 
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Proficiency in estimating, project scheduling and take off software solutions; knowledge of WinEst a plus. • Computer literate, proficiency in MS Office Suite of software, knowledge of MS Project and Sharepoint.  • Proven track record of design/build estimating success. • Strong knowledge of electrical construction.  • Ability to perform digital or conventional “take-offs”. • Knowledge of Division 2 through 16 CSI Master Formats. 
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Experience estimating manufacturing facilities is required.  • Minimum 10 years estimating experience within an industrial construction company, or electrical contractor. • Knowledge of construction practices and procedures for manufacturing plant construction • Must have a successful record project awards. • Must be able to coordinate estimate with other building disciplines. • WinEst estimating software or other estimating programs; Revit, BIM experience preferred. 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS ' Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, engineering or another related field.
