The Engineer - Maintenance Engineering ensures the reliability of building, facility equipment and production equipment to optimize uptime focusing on technical availability. They will leverage advanced technical skills and technology applications to support facility and corporate goals.

Formal prerequisites for the position:  
  • Minimum:  Four-year degree in Engineering, Preferable: Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
  • 4-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or technology field, preferably in maintenance
  • Knowledge of control systems (example: PLCs, Automation)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (example: OSHA, EPA)
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Goal and results oriented
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949: 2016
  • Knowledge of CMMS, SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for Plant and 25% for Regional Role

Physical Requirements:              
  • General physical mobility: ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods

Tasks -Daily Overview: Responsible for facility, production equipment and building/ machine life cycle
  • Requirement specification review during investment process
  • Purchasing and installation of equipment
  • Maintenance of equipment
  • Maintenance strategies including predictive, condition monitoring, advanced trouble shooting and digital solutions
  • Technical availability
  • Manufacturing sustainability
  • Upgrade spare part requirements for equipment (Obsolescence solutions)
  • Overhaul for machines to improve technical availability, quality and throughput

  • Leadership of projects relating to sustainability, digitalization, operational IT security (OT Security), etc.
  • Recommend, implement, and optimize digital solutions and control systems
  • Support local and global Maintenance KPIs, for example: planning rate, maintenance costs, maintenance efficiency, MTBF, MTTR, etc.
  • Support the evaluation and improvement of technical expertise for the plant or region
  • Support department and team goals with relevant measures and trend monitoring
  • Reporting to local or regional management
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating services provided by external companies
  • Alignment of goals and tasks with manager to ensure applicable qualification as defined in qualification matrix
  • Communicate effectively with all employees consistent with company procedures and

Leadership Essentials:
  • Improve security of supply of utilities to support production
  • Promote and support company policies, guidelines and mission statements
  • Adherence to export control regulations and policies
  • Comply with safe work practices: report unsafe working conditions, review any safety issues in operations, report all first aid incidents
  • Adherence to Environmental Management System guidelines, legal compliance, minimizing environmental impact, pursuing preventative measures
  • Comply with work standards, identify opportunities for quality improvements, and report quality incidents
  • Ensure a Lean concept within the team through continuous improvement efforts
  • Supporting the execution of regulatory and safety inspections within the scope of maintenance
  • Perform risk assessments. He/she will support the documentation and implementation of recommended measures.
