Position Overview

This role will require on site in work on a regular basis to include regular weekly visit to the Johnson City TN office site.

Siemens Industry, Inc. located in Johnson City, TN is looking to fill a permanent position for a Senior Software Engineer.  You will participate as part of an international project team to develop and release state of the art industrial automation products.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions for the Siemens Industry product portfolio.  You will work in an agile development environment in a team focused on delivering effective and robust solutions for our customers, in a timely manner. As part of this team, you will be included in interactions with domestic and international stakeholders.

You must have attention to detail, a proficiency in problem solving and the ability to quickly learn new technologies as needed.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• This role will require on site work on a regular basis to include regular weekly visits to the Johnson City TN office site.

• BS Computer Engineering or Computer Science

• Entry Level skills in programming in C# and a willingness to learn

• Practical experience creating and documenting moderately complex Object-Oriented designs

• Exhibits an attention to detail; has a strong work ethic, and self-motivated

• Good interpersonal, communications, and teamwork skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Practical experience designing and writing new product code, based on well-documented design patterns.

• Practical experience debugging and maintaining existing code.

• Practical experience in creating automated tests and frameworks

• Practical experience with programming both for MS Windows and Linux operating systems

• Able to analyze complex technical problems and create solutions
