The registered professional nurse at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island renders direct and indirect goal-oriented nursing care through the application of the nursing process. He/she functions within the policies, practice guidelines, procedures and physician directives Rehabilitation Hospital and the Department of Nursing in accordance with the Rhode Island Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and CARF nursing service standards, and Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island nursing standards of practice. There is potential exposure to open wounds, body fluids, sharps and hazardous materials.Qualifications
Must have a RI DOH RN License. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Acute medical-surgical or Rehabilitation nursing preferred. Current licensure in RI; AHA BLS certified, ACLS preferred. Command of verbal and written English; leadership and management abilities; operation of clinical equipment; demonstrates clinical competence; interpersonal and communication skills.
