Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting
Classification: Sr. Accountant
Compensation: $100000.00 to $110000.00 yearly
My client is a $40B fortune level, publicly traded company that is headquartered in the Northern Virginia area. They have an opening in their newly built headquarters. This person will function in a Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting on their Financial Reporting Team, you will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, and preparing filings for the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Q, 10-K, 8K) and other regulatory filings. You will interact with senior leadership and business unit financial leaders across the globe to capture reporting requirements contributing to continued success.
Responsibilities - Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting Prepare consolidated financial statements, internal management financial information and analysis and public earnings release. Prepare quarterly and annual Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), securities registration statements (Forms S-3, S-4) and other regulatory filings, as necessary. Coordinate and prepare the quarterly and annual Inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language (Inline XBRL) reporting for SEC filings. Coordinate with independent auditors to assist in audit requests. Research technical accounting matters and implement newly-issued accounting literature and SEC rule-making releases across business units. Consult with business unit financial management on technical accounting matters. Prepare internal presentations on accounting and financial reporting matters for senior management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications - Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting
Education & Training Requirements: BA/BS degree in Accounting or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job CPA Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Big 4 public accounting or comparable relevant industry experience. Other Requirements: Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations. Ability to work with minimal direction, set priorities and handle multiple tasks and demonstrate good planning and organization skills. Strong public speaking/presentation skills, including the ability to develop presentations for senior management. Experience with OneStream consolidation software and Workiva cloud-based SEC reporting tool desirable. Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by start date unless medical or religious exceptions apply. Due to the nature of work performed by this individual, they must be eligible to work in the U.S.. Must be willing to work in the HQ office Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
