CSH Clinical Engineering Little Rock, AR Full Time

CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. With more than 700 care sites across the U. S. & from clinics and hospitals to home-based care and virtual care services CommonSpirit is accessible to nearly one out of every four U. S. residents. Our world needs compassion like never before. With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.

This is a long term employment opportunity, not just a 2-3 month internship to fullfill a degree requirement. We are looking for a recent grad, or soon to be grad who wants to apply their education and learn the trade through on the job training. If you are a high performer, this internship will convert to fulltime.

Healthcare isn't just for clinicians. Are you eager to gain specialized Biomedical Equipment repair skills to make a difference in healthcare? Then you're in the right place. When you join our Clinical Engineering Internship in one of our hospitals across the nation, you'll find challenging, rewarding work every day alongside people who have as much passion as you. Join us and together we'll create healthier communities. Imagine your career at CommonSpirit Health!

What You'll Do

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern, you will join our in-house Clinical Engineering team comprised of multiple levels of Biomeds and Field Service Technicians, led by a nation-wide network of Managers, Directors, and VP's. This internship will allow you to supplement your education and learn a skilled trade alongside top technicians. You'll observe and assist in providing routine medical equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and safety testing. You will also partner with some of our nation's top clinical talent at the local hospital to help ensure the best patient care. And, let's not forget the most important relationship of all...our patients.

Why It Matters

This role matters because you, working alongside a senior technician, will have a direct impact on patient care and satisfaction by ensuring all hospital medical equipment is functioning perfectly. Observing and assisting in providing routine equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and safety testing in our hospitals keeps the equipment functioning optimally so that our clinical and direct patient care teams can provide the best patient care possible.
