This job is CONTINGENT upon funding, an open position, customer approval, completion of a favorable background investigation and the ability to obtain and maintain our customer's sensitive clearance.
An experienced MPE/MHE System and Software Security Specialist is needed to join the cyber security program at our customer's location in Falls Church, Virginia, possible remote work for the right candidate.
Job Description:
Support MPE/MHE system owners and development teams in cyber security architecture reviews including initial designs, documentation, and testing.
Create a golden standard for each platform.
Develop and maintain reference systems.
Maintain centralized libraries for scripts, fixlets, and software to implement patches and security features, leveraging the BigFix software suite.
Develop documentation standards, test cases, requirements.
Implement a Secure Coding process within the ES MPE/MHE DevSecOps software development process.
Perform MPE/MHE vulnerability scans.
Work with MPE/MHE teams on identifying timelines for remediating vulnerabilities, upgrading legacy operating systems (OS) and database applications, and implementing system changes according to new security standards on Production systems.
Coordination of cyber security tasks with program office and engineering managers on new MPE/MHE systems, including architecture and technology assessments, and validating implementation of security requirements through test phases and security reviews.
Requirements:
Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance Position of Public Trust and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance.
Must have a BA degree and 10+ years of relevant work experience
5+ years of related operational experience.
Develop, refine, and plan for future iterations of the Asset Management program.
Develop and enforce authorized network / device policies to increase security posture.
Ability to map application components to identify security problems and provide solutions.
Conduct initial triage assessments of findings from network security tools.
Engages with other internal and external forces to get and share information to improve processes and security posture.
Troubleshoots application connectivity and performance through log analysis and network captures, etc.
Familiar with ForeScout CounterACT.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Knowledgeable in cloud architecture and computing.
Familiarity with Splunk, BMC Atrium, ServiceNow, and enterprise network infrastructures
Experience with ForeScout
Project planning experience
Excellent writing skills
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Engineering, Science, or a related field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.
Desired Certifications:
DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level II; CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), SFCP, GCIA, ISSEP, ISSMP, GCIH, GCFA, CSLC, CISM, CCNA, or CCNP
