Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 166-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women’s health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit opened July 2018 and our Free Standing Emergency facility located in Green Valley Ranch opened in October 2018.
Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Graduate of an accredited school or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
One (1) year full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care setting.
Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
Must comply with hospital based competencies regarding blood-borne pathogen exposure, age specific care and patient safety.
An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The Rn graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. An interim RN license must be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
