PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CANDIDATE PROFILE (Cell Model) Revised 
EDUCATION High School or GED Current FL Pharmacy Tech registration NationalCertification preferred 


EXPERIENCE - 
2+ years retail, mail order, long-term care hospital experience as a PharmacyTechnician - includes experience in dealing with:- Insurance benefitsauthorization- Prior Authorization approvals- Adjudications issues- Coverageverification- Reimbursement issues- Claim processing, 

2+ years customer service experience in an organization providing superiorcustomer service handling:- Outbound calls to customers, doctor offices,providing medication reconciliation, education, and resolving insurance coverageissues. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Make outbound calls to patients, pharmacists, doctor's offices. 
Successfully resolve claim issues, coverage verification, adjudication issues,etc. in a timely manner. 
Work with management to continually improve performance and customer satisfaction. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 
Pharmacy: General knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations. 
Good mathematical skills. 
General knowledge of all state and federal regulatory requirements, i.e. HIPAAMedicare Part D, State Board of Pharmacy. Technology. 

Basic knowledge of MS windows operating system. 
Basic to intermediate skills using MS Office applications (MS Word and MS Excelat a minimum). 
Language/Communication Ability to communicate effectively. 
Bi-lingual and multi-lingual skills a plus. 

Interpersonal: 
Strong organizational, detail and follow-up skills in order to achieve statedgoals. 
Ability to identify issues and resolve customer inquires and complaintsaccurately and promptly. 
Ability to solve problems for which standards solutions may not be available;can identify problem and determine best solution. 
Ability to handle multiple activities and deadlines Ability to work effectivelywithin a team environment. 

Professional: 
Ability to work flexible schedules. 
Must reside in Florida. Telecommute an option but with travel upon request tolocal UHC office(s). 

Monday – Friday 8AM to 5PM
