Shift: Weekend Days
Hours Per Week:24 hours/week, 12 hour shifts

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Charge Ultrasound Technologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs general and vascular ultrasound studies for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients in order to obtain information for the use of physician diagnosing disease. Vascular studies are performed under the guidelines set by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) in order to maintain vascular lab accreditation. They will coordinate with and support other Hospital departments and Imaging modalities, strive to increase quality of patient care and increase patient satisfaction. Employee will be included in the Ultrasound department call rotation. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned or needed.
Educational/Licensing: Current ARDMS and RVT registries and Oregon State licensure. Current BLS certification required. Prior experience in ACR and IAC accreditation preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Qualifications:Must have at least two years general and vascular scanning experience in a hospital setting. Ability to perform essential job functions and job specific competencies. Must be able to work without supervision, be motivated and a self-starter. Ability to prioritize patient care. Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills and high sensibility to the needs of others; including the ability to communicate with patients and their families, physicians, supervisors, peers, volunteers and other customers.
