Summary Job Description:
The Head Teller has the responsibility, in addition to performing as a commercial and consumer teller, to oversee all tellers within the office and to ensure the smooth and orderly operations of the teller line and related functions. Other responsibilities include maintaining prescribed security controls to protect against criminal or fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure.Represents the bank in business development efforts, and at civic and community functions. The applicant should be service-oriented, professional, friendly, and enjoy our fast-paced atmosphere.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise others
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise correspondence
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Broad knowledge of teller functions and 3 or more years teller and cash handling experience
- Prior banking experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED
May be required to work weekend and/or extended hours. Regular, reliable attendance is crucial to our success.
- Previous Head Teller experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation required
