As a Hypertherm, District Sales Manager (DSM) you will sell, promote, and support Hypertherm Waterjet consumables (Accustream), and parts through the establishment, recruitment, training, and development of a network of independent and national distributors maximizing Hypertherm's market share in North America.
You will drive end-user demand and loyalty for Hypertherm products by developing relationships with end-users to understand use and areas of opportunity.
In this role, you will have an impact by prioritizing and executing objectives based on sales area opportunities for market penetration, including:
Identifying new and developing existing channel partners to maximize area coverage
The creation of annual business and area operating plan with key and developing Distributors to meet sales objectives and attain continued market share growth
Assessing training needs for distributors, developing and executing a plan to fill requirements
Determining annual/quarterly sales targets
Executing agreed upon promotional programs
Gaining the commitment for and support for joint activities spread evenly throughout the year (e.g., trade show, open house, end-user visits, demos)
Having formal quarterly reviews with distributor management to review progress against targets
Implementing new product launch programs; monitor and report results based on the established plan. Continue to promote existing products utilizing available sales tools (e.g. consumable recapturing programs, quarterly sales promotions) to optimize sales processes and results
Industrial sales experience with 4+ years extensive Waterjet experience in Business-to-Business environment (Bachelor's degree preferred), managing a network of independent distributors in an industrial setting
Current driver's license
Ability to identify an opportunity with the ability to demonstrate and present features, benefits, and values using product knowledge, and train distributor sales force on our products
Capable of solutions selling, recommending the appropriate integrated suite of products for the end user application
Ability to develop manage and coordinate promotional programs with distributors that produce high-quality results
Competitive knowledge within respective region/marketplace and our industry
Understanding of how the distributors organize and operate in their marketplace
Physical Demands and Travel:
Travel: 70%+ per year
Location: North America
Ability to work from a home office or sales office as needed
Located within 1 hour of a major airport
Ability to demonstrate systems (manage the movement of ~100 pounds)
Operate waterjet equipment within safety guidelines
