Sr. Electrical Engineer

What you will do
Electronic and electrical design engineers analyzing low-level firmware and hardware as well as issue resolution and performance improvement processes. This position works independently and will conduct design level failure analysis and product enhancement implementation, along with collaborating with third party partners.
How you will do it
  • Create and develop product information and or system concepts or operating processes to fulfill business needs. 
  • Identifies, investigates, and recommends improvements in products, systems, or processes from design level field failure issues and escalations from support teams.
  • Run device level testing to recreate performance issues and document contributing causes
  • Analyze BOM files and schematics as needed, experience with multiple design tools
  • Review design documents, schematics BOM components and other documentation to determine design level issues effecting application performance.
  • Determine root causes of system level issues through field failure reports, devices, log files and system data.
  • Performs tradeoff between implementation, schedule and cost and resource constraints, and recommends alternatives. 
  • Participates in technology transfer initiatives among IT departments, R&D, and Product Engineering. 
  • Prepares product documentation, operating instructions, and reviews related technical literature. 
  • Acts as a technical leader for a project team and mentors Engineers.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • A minimum of six years related systems or engineering experience; HVAC and CAD experience.
  • Knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems market.
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; ability to work collaboratively with user, and flexibility and adaptability to changing situations. 
  • Ability in modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems; ability to use several modeling techniques; ability to help users model in their own domains and in their own language.

  •  Master’s Degree preferred; Technical Certification as required.
