Kforce has a client, a leading global media giant is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in New York, New York (NY).
You will assist in preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting for Senior Management
Provide relevant and insightful financial analysis and narratives with respect to consolidated results across multiple business units (including the key drivers (financial and non-financial) of business performance)
Help identify/evolve meaningful key metrics that drive financial performance for each segment/business unit and work with business units with reporting of these metrics
Maintain an effective communication process with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure that monthly/quarterly analyses are accurate, complete and timely; implement corporate initiatives, including changes in reporting requirements
Participate in providing analyses and materials for senior management/investor relations for quarterly press releases, earnings call and Board of Directors presentations
Manage collection and integrity of data submissions by business units in Hyperion
Manage accuracy of foreign currency translation
Develop and maintain standardized best practices regarding the reporting and analysis of business performance with a primary focus on non-financial metrics
Prepare ad-hoc analyses for the CFO, Deputy CFO, SVP/FP&A and other Senior Management team, as necessary
Degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of financial analysis experience (media industry preferred)
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion reports
Experience implementing new systems and/or workflows with the aim of process improvement
Management reporting experience
Ability to derive analytical insights from multiple data sources
Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work within strict deadlines
Comfortable interacting with all levels of Senior Management
