HR Generalist

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Human Resources Generalist to join our Atlantic HR team, based in our Reston office. This role is primarily an employee relations focused position that provides support to all levels of staff.
Responsibilities span many aspects of human resources including:
* Employee relations activities such as integration and retention, coaching and performance management, terminations, teambuilding, conflict resolution and career development.
* Serves as a benefits point-of-contact, including responding to questions and educating employees on company benefit programs.
* Manages leaves of absence, including FMLA and Disability.
* Develops and facilitates training programs.
* Leads special projects that have company-wide impact.
* Assists with recruiting for administrative and business support positions at all levels.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of human resources experience, with a strong preference in a professional services industry
* Bachelor's or Master's degree
* Working knowledge of labor and employment law
* Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS experience
* Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, presentation, and relationship building
* Excellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
* Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, and the ability to work independently
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent internal client service
* PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP strongly preferred
* Ability to travel within the Northeast 25% of the time, with flexibility for day travel within the greater D.C. area approximately 15% of the time.
