  • You can work flexible hours around your school schedule. Our branches are open roughly 8-5 Monday- Friday

  • This position can move to permanent or Full-Time. Depending upon graduation date and availability, you could be moved into our Management Trainee Program (Bachelors Degree required)

You will have exposure and interaction to many levels of our Sales, Management, & Operational organization- from entry level employees to Director level. Job Summary

The Intern will work with front line sales agents & Senior Managers for the rental of vehicles to the Company's current lease and commercial rental accounts, as well as potential commercial rental customers and consumer household needs. This allows the Intern to gain experience working cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Asset Management while developing excellent customer communication skills. This role is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit giving you real business experience. Theres never a dull moment In this role, you will acquire proven industry knowledge, skills and resources while in addition to developing your business skills & interpersonal skills. This is an essential industry and weve been in the game since 1933!

    Essential Functions

    • Handling the sales and process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation

    • Maintain current and accurate data within the company's marketing database

    • Responsible for generating rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads

    • Manage all rental asset processes to include Vehicle Pm and cleanliness standards

    • Meet overall Ryder market share by successfully executing the sales and marketing initiatives

    • Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies

    • Reconcile all customer concerns, issues and disputes in order to maintain the ongoing relationships and grow the current customer base

    Additional Responsibilities

    • On a voluntary basis as well as based on scheduling, the Rental Management Trainee will be required to perform the role of On-Call Representative based on work schedules as determined by Supervisor.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

    • High energy, self motivated, self directed person who is able to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

    • Detail oriented with strong follow-up practices

    • Possess a high degree of common sense and the aptitude to learn quickly

    • Ability to relocate in the region/US at the conclusion of the training program

    • Must be computer literate intermediate required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required business administration or similar related degree

    • One (1) year or more customer service with issues resolution experience preferred

    • Must be computer literate intermediate required
