As a Senior Drupal Developer, you will be responsible for building new features and functionality, establishing and supporting the website's architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the Drupal CMS, to include software updates and security patches. • Provide technical input on Drupal tasks and/or technology assessments
• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement Drupal-based software applications
• Troubleshoot production problems related to existing software applications
• Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
• Architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, information architecture, and 3rd party platform integrations.
• Implement project specifications using a mix of Drupal core functionality, community modules, and custom developed modules that adhere to the Drupal coding standards
• Identify opportunities to contribute to and participate in Drupal and other Open-Source communities in order to reduce ongoing cost of operation for clients
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics wherever applicable
• Evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Stay abreast of new web development technologies and processes that enhance Octo's ability to deliver the best solutions for our clients
• Participate in code reviews of your own work and provide reviews for other team members
• Experience and knowledge in utilizing cloud providers, specifically Azure, Amazon, and Google

• Expert (hands-on) experience with: Minimum 5 years' Drupal 8/9 development & administration (updates and upgrades)
• PHP 7 - advance skill set HTML/CSS - expert (HTML5 and CSS3 are strongly desired)
• Experience in: Setting up / configuring Drupal environments
• Administering / managing LAMP stack Linux environments
• Successfully researching / remediating IT security vulnerabilities
• Government regulations pertaining to websites (e.g., 508 Compliance)
• MobileFirst / responsive application design
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (jQuery, JSON and AJAX)
• Proven Custom module development
• Understands Integration concepts (RESTful services, API development, etc.)
• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL development techniques: using GIT for code checkouts, version control, and deployment techniques
• Experience integrating systems using internal and third-party APIs
• Knowledge of server operation maintenance and extensions and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to multiple platforms
• Skill in working with content management systems Web browsers image-manipulation and databases and other Web software tools
