Job Description

You will join our REC department

As our new Engineer - Roads, you will be part of a world-class, innovation-driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  1. Carrying out the design and reviewing the work of less experienced engineers and CAD technicians in the team while maintaining the quality of deliverables.
  2. Overseeing and troubleshooting the work of geometric design of urban/rural roads, guiding less experienced engineers in carrying out the design and preparation of the drawings.
  3. Taking initiatives to develop the design ability of less experienced engineers and improve the quality of delivery of the team as a whole.
  4. Mentoring less experienced engineers and providing inputs to HoD/Technical manager for the continued development of the staff in the team.

  1. BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/M. Tech would be desirable.
  2. Knowledge in roads design, including design codes like Euro code/DMRB/AASHTO/any other international standards would be desirable.
  3. Understanding of the analysis and design principles of road design.
  4. Hands-on experience in using any of the road design software (InRoads/Openroads/Novapoint/Civil 3D/MX Roads etc.).
  5. Knowledge of other related software like AutoTURN/AutoTrack/Pathplanner etc. would be desirable.
  6. Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD/Microstation and preparing drawings in accordance with internationally recognized standard formats.
  7. In addition to technical/functional acumen, good communication skills and the ability to present your work.
  8. Good team member who can coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of projects.
  9. Professional English language skills (written and verbal).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Good level of written and spoken English.

Qualifications

  1. BE/B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute. ME/M. Tech would be desirable.
  2. Hands-on experience in using any of the road design software (Novapoint/Civil 3D).
  3. Experience Required: 5-8 Years.
