Job Description

Responsibilities

Implement, maintain and improve company’s Quality and Environment Management Systems, accredited under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
 

Define Quality and Environmental requirements for the NECEC Projects supporting the design and construction
 

Review and Monitor Construction Contractors Quality and Environmental plans and its implementation at site works to ensure they meet our requirements.
 

Provide support and advice to project management, design and construction staff to achieve compliance with internal and external quality and environmental management systems and project requirements.
 

Manage Environmental project requirements, supporting the NECEC Project, identifying and managing surveys and licenses required for the execution of the project.
 

Define and monitor quality inspection programs to assure quality of the works.
 

Ensure that Construction contractors effectively document operational Quality and Environmental performance, comply with the requirements and report the project.
 

Monitor, audit and report Quality and Environmental performance of Construction Contractors.
 

Support project team to identify and solve Quality and Environmental non conformities, manage incidents and follow up its resolution.
 

Develop and implement new methods, techniques and practices to improve Quality and Environmental performance.
 

Develop and deliver Quality and Environmental System training and awareness initiatives.
 

Carry out internal and external audits.
 

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Civil, Construction Management, or equivalent 10 years of relevant experience required.

Experience of quality and environmental management including working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 ideally within construction business.

Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project or Equivalent

Must have a valid Driver’s License

Must be willing to travel to construction sites on a day to day basis, attend meetings

Environmental management experience: surveys and licenses.

Quality Assurance and/or Control experience.

Quality and Environmental Auditing qualification desirable.

Skills/Abilities:

Day to day decisions relating to quality and environmental issues of projects.

Making decisions on contractor selection.

Provide advice and guidance on Quality and Environmental System compliance and best practice.

On and off- site support to management, engineering and construction teams on specific Quality and Environmental issues.

Decisions/advise on methods of engineering control and construction work quality and environmental control.

Decisions/advise on competence requirements to quality and environmental compliance.

Review work methods and inspection assuring quality of the product and environmental compliance.

Working knowledge of best practices in safety policies and procedures.
