Performs and is responsible for managing, coordinating and controlling ALL aspects of a cargo operations and warehousing the functions. Ensures compliance with Airline and Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between individual customers and the Company. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.
Performs duties related to the handling utilizing SABRE, counting, receipting for pick-up, transfer and delivery of all cargo. Receives cargo from and releases cargo to consignors, consignees, brokers, agents, truckers, etc., including checking, counting, receipting and loading and unloading connected therewith. Handles warehouse cargo, including handling, moving, stacking, stamping, weighing, measuring, labeling, etc., and constructing and dismantling when necessary. Performs duties related to the loading and unloading of trucks. This employee checks cargo and makes proper notations of tallies or other necessary documents and segregates in accordance with Company procedures. Releases cargo in accordance with Company procedures. Receives, delivers and handles shipments carried to or from the country by customers. Responsible in performing daily equipment preventive maintenance and safety checks. Performs and handles airline payments and processes cash reports as required.
Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with Airline and corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site specific security plan. Ensure they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret WFS Employee Handbook, WFS Supervisors
Manual, applicable union contract, general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations, airline policy and procedures
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Two to five years previous management/specialist supervisory experience in field service duties. Independent judgment and decision-making skills required. College degree or equivalent experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with personal computer software helpful. Airline pricing experience. Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
