• Title: Customer Service Representative
• Type: Temporary; Possible temp-to-hire depending on need of the position
• Duration: 2 months
• Shift: 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (begin after training period)
• Pay: $16.50/hour
• Location: Franklin / Cool Springs
• Schedule: Training is the first 3 weeks scheduled from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Summary:

Reviews, verifies, and processes orders in the pharmacy management system’s work queue. Serves as a resource to patients, dialysis facility personnel, and other employees for insurance coverage and pharmacy benefit related issues.

Responsibilities include: 

• Verifies insurance coverage by phone, online or through electronic transactions for all new patients and/or changes in coverage
• Reaches out to clinic staff regarding prior authorization information
• Assists patients with understanding their pharmacy benefits and available resources
• Answers patients’ questions regarding insurance coverage
• Refers escalated questions/situations to supervisor or appropriate department (such as Billing to address a Billing error), or if a patient wants to opt out of the program
• Completes work within authorized time to assure compliance with departmental standards

Knowledge and skills needed:

• High School Diplomas or GED
• Demonstrates strong verbal and data entry skills
• 1 - 2 years of pharmacy claims experience
• Excellent Microsoft skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word required
