GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Manage day-to-day drayage operations and recruits drivers. Plans and schedules appropriate service lines, maintain a cost effective balance between customer service and cost of delivery. Ensures compliance with all DOT regulations.

Required weekly travel to Chino CA

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Manages order entry, load planning, load scheduling and load monitoring.
* Develop and manage activities related to DOT compliance.
* Identify logistics issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
* Works closely with clients to ensure service satisfaction. Analyzes service failures/ issues and implements performance processes to enhance future service delivery.
* Recruits Owner Operators for local driving
* Efficiently processes driver candidates through the driver qualification and activation process.
* Other duties as assigned

* Management experience in a dynamic growth environment
* The ability to handle multitasking and work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Advanced Level Skills in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge,
* merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text
* Advanced Level Skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis
* Advanced Level Skills in MS Power Point such as inserting charts, graphs and tables,
* animation and multimedia, customizing slide shows with hyperlinks, drawing and working with objects, speaker notes and meeting notes, and advanced presentation features
* Good management ability to assign responsibilities, allocate resources and direct corrective action to attain favorable business impact

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Organizational Development, Transportation or related field or equivalent work experience is required
* A minimum of 6 (five) years Transportation/Logistics experience preferred
* A minimum of 3 (three) years supervisory experience preferred
* Experience with ground transportation operations including DOT, OSHA and all related safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
