**Position Summary:**

The Senior Manager, New Product Planning position will play a lead role in managing and supporting clinical-stage assets. This individual will independently lead key strategic workstreams in support of pipeline development and early commercialization activities and will support the Vice President and Directors of New Product Planning. This role is a part of Horizon's Strategy and Business Development organization and will report to the Vice President, New Product Planning.

**Responsibilities include:**

+ Support strategic development and commercialization efforts for Horizon's drug development pipeline (e.g., support asset strategy development, manage disease education activities, develop a communication plan, support market research efforts, etc.)

+ In conjunction with R&D, lead early-stage development program(s) with support of Vice President and/or Director, New Product Planning


+ Bachelor's Degree required; graduate degree preferred

+ Background in new product planning, commercial development, or in related commercial functions within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

+ Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience required

+ 5+ years relevant work experience

+ Clinical or scientific background preferred


+ Exceptional strategic acumen, problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and leadership ability

+ Ability to manage cross-functional projects and execute against deadlines

+ Comfort and demonstrated success in dealing with ambiguity and solving strategic problems

+ Ability to work in a matrixed environment or on cross-functional teams

+ Self-starter and someone who takes full ownership over work product

+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral

+ Ability to convert complex concepts into simple and digestible materials

+ Comfort with and ability to understand the business implications of the "technical" aspects of the biopharmaceutical business model (e.g., scientific, clinical, regulatory)

+ Attention to detail

+ Experience in slide design and presentation delivery utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint
