Adaptive Technology Technician

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Adaptive Technology Technician to join our team in Alexandria, VA and begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Duties: Performs day-to-day activities required to manage and maintain all components of adaptive technology. Performs the distribution of adaptive technology to end-user systems. Troubleshoots complex issues for users within the adaptive technology area. Performs problem resolution and completes adaptive technology service requests requiring subject matter expertise (SME) or could not be resolvable by service desk personnel. The ideal candidate loves being the person who interfaces between the dev team and the server maintenance/hosting team, understands technology deeply at both the server level and at the development level, understands where the gaps often are between these two, and is excited about filling those gaps and taking proactive steps to prevent application emergencies from ever happening. The primary responsibility of the Senior Build Engineer is to work with other team members in development, support and QA to coordinate project movement through lower environments and into Production. The Senior Build Engineer also ensures that all products are built, installed, smoke tested and released consistently.

Requirements

Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience managing and maintain adaptive technology. Must have experience in adaptive technology software distribution and troubleshooting, to include, users and problem resolution. -3-5 years of release management /build engineer or related experience
- Demonstrated understanding of DevOps and technical quality control processes, artifacts and tools
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology
- Working Knowledge in Java or .NET, SQL, C#, ASP.NET, XML, MSBUILD, and Powershell
- Full understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps best practices
- Configuration Management Experience
- Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
