Adventist Health Portland, part of both the Adventist Health and Oregon Health and Science University health systems features of a 302-bed medical center, 34 medical clinics, and home care and hospice services in the Portland metro area. Our full-service acute care medical center provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services to communities on the city's east side. Key services include cardiovascular care, emergency services, orthopedics, radiation oncology, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, and labor and delivery. Adventist Health Portland's mission executed by more than 550 physicians, 1,900 employees and 250 volunteers serving a local community known for its outdoor activities, independent creatives and exquisite culinary opportunities.

The Adventist Health clinic operations serves 80 communities through 280 clinics with an estimated 2,200,000 visits per year

Adventist Health Medical Group operates 18 primary care clinics in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. You'll be working in the Float Pool. Float to Primary Care and Urgent Care clinics within our system to cover vacation, ill calls and vacant positions. If you love variety and something new everyday then this position is for you! Clinics are located in the Portland Metro Area - Eastside and mileage is paid.

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant (Outpatient) who:

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Essential Functions:

* Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
* Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
* Performs audiometry and vision testing.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

* High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

* OREGON ONLY: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC), American Medical Technologist (RMA), California Certifying Board of Medical Assistant (CCMA), Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute (National Certifying Board of Medical Assistants or NCMA) partnered with Nation center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
* Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred
* Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
