Integrated Logistics Support Analyst

Octo Consulting Group is seeking an Intermediate Integrated Logistics Support Analyst to join our growing team. The position requires an understanding of and experience with Army Acquisition logistics to provide effective operational support to a major U.S. Army enterprise network transformation program to deliver capabilities that provide the full spectrum of network and IT services for a globally connected Army. The Intermediate Integrated Logistics Specialist will manage various logistics tasks to support installing IT network equipment at multiple sites and will collaborate regularly with government Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to support the organization’s mission.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Plan, integrate, coordinate, analyze, and evaluate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) to support acquisitions and ongoing project installation
  • Develop ILS requirements
  • Assist with developing cost estimates and cost evaluations
  • Develop, as required, material fielding plans and documents per U.S. Army policies and procedures. 
  • Coordinate and integrate with other contracting and operations personnel to assure efforts are coordinated and to identify and resolve problems
  • Manage staging warehouse and logistics processes to include shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing materiel and equipment per Army and program policies and procedures
  • Utilize the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to develop material fielding plans and documents per Army policies and procedures.
  • Update the client on all logistics issues and supporting long-range program planning
  • Augment the program at various implementation meetings in person or via telecom/VTC such as weekly and quarterly status reviews and Systems Engineering reviews.
  • Provide logistics technical input in support developing Acquisitions documents.
  • Conduct accountability and management of organization installation property.
  • Provide logistics technical advice to the organization
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in Army/DoD logistics, or in industry supporting Army/DoD logistics.
  • Experience with property management processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Cloud Equipping (cQuip), and Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-A)
  • Experience with managing logistics for goods and services on a worldwide scale.
  • Experience with issuing and managing hand receipts to ensure property accountability
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, and Power Point.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking and listening).
  • Ability to effectively identify and elevate project/program risks and issues.
  • Self-starter able to manage tasks with little or no supervision

Optional Desired Skills

  • Experience with scheduling dependencies, risk, issues, performance, or decision support analyses
  • Experience with scheduling and conducting briefings
  • Understanding of government contracting, budgets, and costs
  • Knowledge and experience with Army protocol


  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) from a recognized and accredited university, or equivalent years of experience

Security Clearance:

  • DoD Active Secret required


  • Fort Belvoir, VA
  • This position may require up to 15% travel (CONUS and OCONUS)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.
  • Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time

 Work Environment:

  • Normal working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Employees are expected to be physically on client site from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM every work day
  • Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area
  • The noise level in this environment is low
