The Business Development Manager â Southwest Asia assists in the development and execution of Vectrusâ overarching-strategy for developing a market position in Southwest Asia. Â The role is specifically responsible for the development, identification, qualification and prioritization, and winning of new opportunities.Â Opportunity identification includes, but is not limited to, US government, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and commercial infrastructure opportunities across the region.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:Â
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Identifies new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.Â Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Responsible for the development, identification, qualification and prioritization, and winning of new opportunities as well as supporting recompetes as appropriate.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Meets regularly with current and potential customers and partners, and actively participates in key capture and proposal activities.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Partners with Solution Architects, Capture Managers, and leadership to identify and define strategic approach and key differentiators for the opportunity.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Markets, coordinates, and supports submission of responsive bids to include an in-depth understanding of the customersâ environment, requirements, and expectations as well as a robust knowledge of the contract terms and conditions, risk identification and mitigation and ensure post win customer satisfaction.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Standard office equipment including computer and phone.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â This is a business office environment with travel as appropriate, up to 50%.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Consistent with a typical office environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelorâs degree in Business (Architecture/Engineering) or Technical field or equivalent.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Minimum of 10 years of US Government or commercial experience with significant understanding of significant infrastructure projects in Southwest Asia.Â In depth knowledge of client procurement tendencies and processes in the region.
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proven experience leading identification and qualification of large opportunities
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to demonstrate initiative (self-starter) and have a positive impact and influence on team culture
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Excellent industry/customer knowledge and a demonstrated track record of success leading large account and growth initiatives, and winning large and complex solutions opportunities
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â A strong personal brand with visibility in the market and with customers
•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Proven record of setting measurable objectives to achieve a strategic end to include identifying the ways and means for accomplishing those objectives
