Senior Internal Auditor
Our Pacific Northwest health services client is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to lead internal auditing efforts. This role will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial and operational internal control improvements.
Responsibilities of the Senior Internal Auditor
Perform data analysis to determine efficiency and compliance of internal controls.
Review company files to ensure accuracy.
Evaluate internal controls and policies.
Perform internal control testing.
Examine audit documentation.
Compile research and analysis findings.
Review findings with management.
Evaluate operations for regulatory compliance.
Assist external audit and compliance entities as needed.
Provide recommendations for the development and implementation of financial and operational control process improvements.
Create reports of compliance and audit research findings.
Monitor accounting records.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Senior Internal Auditor Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA/CIA preferred.
5+ years of auditing experience; healthcare background preferred.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP, SOX, auditing, and regulatory compliance, with understanding of managed health plans.
MS Office Suite experience, with strong skills in Excel and Word.
ERP systems knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Investigative and reporting skills.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
