Job Description

A-TEK is seeking a seasoned professional with hands on experience with the development, delivery and program management of IT services and solutions with an emphasis on Federal Civilian Government agencies including Health and Human Services, or other agencies as assigned. The Account Executive will be tasked with the development of account plans for targeted agencies and identifying RFQ/RFQs/RFIs/SS to pursue that coincide with core competency areas.

• The Account Executive will be responsible for providing strategic business leadership and day-to-day rhythm of the business for the civilian accounts assigned including HHS, its major operating divisions such as FDA, NIH, CMS as well as the VA and DHA.
• P &L responsibility and program oversight for assigned customer accounts
• Build and manage key relationships, engage resources and lead a diverse team of IT professionals.
• Strategically develop and assist in the execution of a viable account plan for increased penetration within each assigned Federal Health segment to increase new revenue opportunities.
• Work with leadership to drive customer satisfaction and engage with Business Development leadership to identify opportunities for growth within assigned agencies, and lead capture on assigned opportunities.
• Understand A-TEK's technology capabilities and their application to targeted agencies and overall federal marketplace
• Work with A-TEK staff to develop marketing strategies that will strengthen A-TEK's position and meet customer requirements and objectives.
• Complete analysis of all assigned agency program opportunities on a weekly basis during weekly Business Development/capture meetings to ascertain needs and requirements to compete effectively for respective contracts
• Leverage the company's past and current contracts within assigned accounts, the candidate will identify, qualify and position new business opportunities (organic and new business development).
• Works closely with the Division Vice President, Program Directors, Program Managers, Project Leaders, Business Development staff and the CEO to identify leads and to assist in expanding and building the current business base.
• The Account Executive is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad solutions and services strategy.
• Meet with current and prospective clients and assists with determining business needs based on specific client objectives to be achieved.
• Handle partner alignment on major programs and post-award while working collaboratively with internal A-TEK personnel to maximize task order wins and successful re-compete of existing programs.
• Identify consulting and teaming opportunities with industry partners to pursue opportunities that complement A-TEK's core competencies.
• Leverage past experience/contacts to establish and build new customer relationships for the company that lead to prospective business opportunities.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:
• 5 years of federal government contracting experience as Account Manager or Program Management responsible for oversight of assigned customer accounts
• 5 years of business development experience responsible for organic or new business growth within assigned accounts
• 5 years of enterprise information technology experience, as practitioner or manager of IT related programs
• Minimum of 5 years of direct enterprise IT sales experience
• Working relationship with key executives in HHS
• Working relationship with key systems integrators and technology vendors in HHS
• Federal Sector experience and credibility engaging with and selling at the senior executive level within federal agencies
• Direct experience and working with federal agencies, including Department of Health and Human Services and any of its 22 operating divisions and agencies, the Office of the Secretary, Health and Human Services, or other accounts as assigned, as account management or PM.
• Track record of successful account management, program management, and new business development, sales and capture management of federal government procurements
• Candidate must be a strategic thinker and have proven experience in strategic account planning and delivery including ability to forecast, develop business plans and execute sales strategies to ensure growth and target objectives are achieved
• High intellect and technical acumen with a capacity to multi-task
• Knowledge of federal contract vehicles to include but not limited to: GSA Schedule 70, GSA Professional Services Schedule, NITAAC CIO-SP3
• “Hunter” who can form and work with teams throughout the sales cycle; BD, partners, technical sales and professional consulting; developing win strategies based on client knowledge
• Passionate about managing and developing people and working across boundaries and groups (services, specialists, partners, etc.), as required
• Active participant in managing and supporting proposal responses
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Clear understanding of all components of service delivery and customer relationship management
• Serve as Capture Manager when appropriate on assigned accounts
• Produce results based on key performance goals established collaboratively with executive leadership

Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology/Information Management or Science-related disciplines. For candidates without a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience is required.

Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic business relationships with senior management and key decision makers across HHS Operating Divisions.

• Advanced degree preferred
