Work with all levels of Mill and Corporate personnel and is expected to interact and communicate in a professional manner.
Provide development, support, and maintenance for all Mill Systems. Design, code and test new solutions for existing and new applications as well as analyze and resolve system problems.
Develop solutions for Windows-based systems, using Microsoft.NET and Web Applications languages.
Participate in the development of new system functions.
Submit system change requests.
Analyze the impact of change requests.
Test and approve program changes on various systems.
Analyze system data, computer programs, and procedures to ensure data integrity. Address any deficiencies identified.
Perform security functions to insure system integrity.
Assign and remove system permissions as required.
Ensure accuracy of on-line approval rules, approvers, and alternate approvers.
Assist with the semi-annual system access reviews and segregation of duty reviews.
Provide technical support in assisting users to resolve problems with programs and data.
Assist users with computer system problems and questions.
Answer questions by researching, determining appropriate action, and communicating
resolution to users.
Prepare cost reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing the appropriate system information.
Develop and implement methods to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Assure compliance with PCS Key Controls.
Cross-train as required with all IT personnel to be multi-functional in support of this facility.
Serve On-Call duty as required by Counce Mill ITS team members.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
Previous programming experience.
Experience in web application development using Java/Java Script/ASP.Net technologies.
Good knowledge of Active Reports, Visual Studio and .net Framework environments.
Good knowledge of Relational Database models with specific experience in SQL Server database.
Good understanding of Windows programming techniques, messaging and XML.
Ability to integrate or use external/third party tools in development and adapt to new technology.
Ability to comprehend business requirements and design specifications.
Ability to effectively code according to specifications.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Attention to details and logical approach to solve problems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
3+ years of previous programming experience.
Strong knowledge of VB application development, some C# and object oriented analysis and design experience.
