A national non-profit organization who's work is widely recognized and whose operation consists of 159 medical and non-medical affiliates which operate over 600 health clinics in the United States and are currently undergoing a progressive modernization of the organization is looking for a driven Regional Director of Human Resources who is ready to take them to that next level and give them an even more commanding presence in today's climate. They are looking for this individual to contribute by developing new and improving upon existing controls and processes. Someone who is a strong leader and embraces the opportunity to be a strategic partner to the executive team. responsibilities:

- Supervises, trains, and coaches Regional Human Resources Staff as appropriate to site;



- Facilitates employee relations issues including coaching managers through employee issues and providing mediation when necessary;

- Working with Operational partners, facilitates the region's recruitment and selection process.

- Participates, as needed, in the new employee orientation program within region;

- Assists in designing and implementing Human Resources training programs for affiliate;

- Prepares various personnel related reports for both internal and external reporting purposes;

- Updates and ensures the accuracy of employee files within HR Perspective

- Assists in periodic classification studies based on job analysis and in the updating of existing job descriptions and development of new job descriptions;

- Interprets affiliate personnel policies for employees and respond to their inquiries;

- Ensures new employees in area are enrolled in affiliate benefits accurately and timely and oversee open enrollment process for area;

-Act as a resource to other departmental staff in various areas of Human Resources including employee relations and investigation of employee issues/complaints.

- Monitors and coordinates the affiliates Background Check procedure for new hires and employees who are finalist for promotion opportunities;

- Monitors changes in federal, state and case law and regulations, which affect employer and assures that these changes are brought to the attention of management for possible integration with affiliate policies;

- Ensures the accuracy of all procedures related to hiring, status changes, benefits administration, and employee separations within area;

- Processes workers' compensation and unemployment claims for area;

-May have oversight of other affiliate wide programs such as: the employee Emergency Loan Fund program, Safety programs, Training, etc.

qualifications:

Ability to perform the duties described above. A typical means of acquiring those abilities would be:


  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources of related field;
  • 3 years experience in Human Resources;
  • 3 years supervisory experience;
  • Computer literate;


REQUIREMENTS

- Excellent organizational and decision making skills and ability to initiate work and set priorities independently;

- Effective writing, editing and communication skills;

- Acceptance of the confidential nature of the position;

- Ability to relate sensitively and professionally to the Planned Parenthood staff,

associates and public;
