Your tasks and responsibilities

Covestro, a world-leading manufacturer of high-tech polymer materials for key industries is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team at our Sheffield, MA facility. Sheffield is a picturesque New England town located in the Housatonic River Valley of Berkshire County in Western Massachusetts. A combination of wide open river valley, mountain vistas and active farmland makes Sheffield one of the most scenic towns in the Commonwealth. Located on US Route 7, Sheffield is approximately one hour from Hartford, Springfield and Albany, and two and one-half hours from Boston and New York City. Key Responsibilities Include:
•Oversee Predictive Maintenance Programs •Responsible for creating and changing Maintenance Plans
•Oversee overall Asset Management Strategy for the site
•Responsible for maintaining Site Equipment Records
•Assist in the training of Maintenance Personnel
•Responsible for Maintenance Benchmarking vs. industry and other Sheet Sites
•Lead Total Productive Maintenance Work Package as part of Site Wide LEAN initiative
•Represent Sheffield Reliability Department under the Global and Regional Best Practice Exchange Team
•Root Cause Analysis Lead Resource for equipment failures
•Lead Spare Parts Rationalization Process
•Responsible for the Development and Implementation of Notification Based Reliability Plans
•Responsible for the Development & Implementation of Cost Savings Initiatives
•Lead Role in Equipment & Parts Standardization
•Participate in Technical Exchanges
•Support overall Capital and Expense Budget Development and Implementation
•Lead Role in Designing and Implementing Preventive Maintenance Program & identifying and closing existing gaps Who you are

Minimum Requirements
•BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Related discipline with experience in Maintenance Reliability

Preferred Qualifications
•3+ years of experience is preferred
•Broad knowledge of rotating and static equipment through experience, training and self-study
•Six Sigma Belt Certification
•Understanding and Training in Root Cause Analysis / Defect Elimination /Failure Mode Effect Analysis Methodologies Essential Knowledge and Skills:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent Troubleshooting, Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
•Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization #LI-MM1 #CB
