Director of National Accounts- The Diplomat Beach Resort

A Director of National Accounts for The Diplomat Beach Resorts leads and directs the daily operation within the on-property Sales office serving as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who need to rent rooms, meeting space, food and beverage service, etc. Focuses on the association market for large meetings. Responds to sales inquiries, initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients, entertains clients, conducts site visits and answers questions, determines rates, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, services accounts and analyzes lost business for the hotel/s. Develops sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals. Works with various departments to ensure requested services are provided to customers. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.


  • Active solicitation, to include prospecting, to confirm and book business in current and futures room revenue goals- Travel and Tradeshow attendance in Market is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Delphi systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Speed RFP, CVent and Meeting Broker
  • Minimum of 5 years is a senior sales roll.  Hilton working relations with Key Global Sales leaders and accounts a strong plus.
  • Strong working relations in Market.
  • Revenues to book within currents and futures along with F & B
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to analyze business needs and property/asset requirements to qualify business.
  • Strong client/customer relations.
  • Ability to close business.
  • Ability to retain business
  • Ability to uncover business opportunities from prospecting.
  • Position based: On property, preferred
  • Travel: 50% 

Set on the beach and across the street from fishing charters, this upscale resort is 10 miles from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood.

Modern rooms have marble bathrooms with glass-enclosed showers and separate tubs. They offer flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Upgraded rooms add sea views and/or balconies. Suites add separate living areas with pull-out sofas.

Parking has a fee. There's a high-end steakhouse, a waterfront sports bar and a chic poolside bar. The 2 pools with cabanas are connected by 2 waterfalls and a lagoon. Other amenities include a golf course, tennis courts, a beach playground for kids, plus a spa and a gym.
