Experis is seeking an IT Application Support Professional to support Downstream applications in the Oil & Gas field. This role is a 1 year+ contract role to begin 6/2019.
IT-Application Support- Downstram Process Support Analyst level IV
The individual in this position will provide vendor application and related systems support for Operator Training Simulator (OTS) (e.g., Aveva DynSim & Unisim), Crude Assay (e.g., [Schneider Electric] Spiral CrudeSuite) and AspenTech PIMS & Orion) deployed within this F500 Oil and Gas organization.
Work will include support such as troubleshooting vendor application installation and other issues on company desktops, guiding users to documentation, working with the application vendor to troubleshoot issues, managing related support tickets and work in TFS, as well as troubleshoot vendor application server installations. Will also install, configure, and manage vendor server components. Will also DRIVE automation, performance improvements, and simplification with support.
Additional tasks to be performed:
Provide ongoing support, technical knowledge and consulting services on the applications
Troubleshoot technical problems, performs diagnosis, resolution and recovery
Provide general application technical support\maintenance\installation help
Monitor application performance
Package and scripting unattended and silent application installations in SCCM when new application versions become available
Raise issues and system improvement possibilities as needed
Provide consulting services to business and other ExxonMobil IT teams in terms of application functionality, usage, security, controls and others
Develop/update/maintain technical instructions/documentation (e.g., security and support models)
Maintain development environment
Coordinate application user acceptance testing with business custodians
Participate in weekly support calls with vendor and business custodians
Generate and provide test data
Maintain both internal and external application support documentation
Coordinate support issues with other EMIT organizations
Qualified candidates should have experience in / familiarity with the following areas:
SQL Queries / SQL Database (will help deploy database models and move data)
Packaging Scripting (e.g. VB, Batch)
General Debugging / Windows Utilities (e.g. Process Manager, RegMon, Perfmon, Registry)
Basic Windows Commands (e.g. ping, traceroute, ipconfig, etc.)
Troubleshooting Java applications (e.g. JRE, JVM)
Security & Controls
Huge plus, but not required:
Aveva product DynSim
Spiral Product CrudeSuite support
