Our client is a privet real estate investment, management, and development firm that invests in a mixture of residential and commercial class A properties.
Duties
• Manage the accounting close process, review accounting transactions and financial statements for multiple commercial properties totaling over 4 million square feet in California and Washington.
• Recruit, hire, train and manage Property Accounting Staff.
• Review monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statement analysis.
• Responsible for property budgets, quarterly forecasts, and projections.
• Work with Property Managers and Property Accounting Managers to review and approve CAM reconciliations.
• Maintain internal controls, monitors control at the property level and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
• This position plays an integral part in the annual audit process, reviewing audit work papers and variance analyses. This position works directly with Fund Controller to provide information and documentation to the external auditors.
• Assist with quarterly and annual loan compliance and quarterly investor reporting.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
• 5+ years
• Commercial Real Estate experience and CAM reconciliation is required.
• Experience managing the accounting and production of financial statements for partnerships and other business entities.
• Understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting
- Experience with preparing/reviewing financial statement variance analysis
