Operations Finance Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking an Operations Finance Manager in Southfield, MI. Responsibilities:
  • Office management and administrative duties, as directed by Supervisor
  • Facilitate or distribute to team members, project start up responsibilities by preparing documentation, filing notices of commencement
  • Developing project timelines, cash flows
  • Conducting prequalification duties
  • Establishing tools for earned value management and monitoring expirations of each qualification.
  • Coordinates with the entire project team to ensure Project Controls processes are implemented from pursuit through project closeout
  • Leads billing assistance and assist in the preparation of invoice backup as needed
  • Reviews and approves time sheets for employees
  • Identifies and reviews outstanding balances for invoices and statements; Requests vendor invoices when necessary and / or has the ability to read construction drawings and establish a preliminary schedule during pursuit
  • Develops baseline schedule following award; Develops and tracks to subcontractor-committed construction schedules throughout the duration of the project
  • Manages one or more Project Controls Team Members
  • Understand and educate project baseline requirements related to cost and / or schedule to team members and operational resources
  • Drive change management process to properly document scope and / or unforeseen changes related to each individual project related to cost and / or schedule
  • Clearly communicate when risk factors arise on a project to on-site personnel and / or upper management to ensure proactive action is taken

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management
  • 8 to 10 years of Project Controls experience related to Project Cost Accounting or Project Schedule experience
  • Proficient with SAP and / or Oracle P6 Professional
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Basic skills in Bluebeam, Prolog and Box
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate workload with all members of the team
  • Effective time management and organizational skills while paying attention to detail
  • Ability to identify, track, and complete work tasks in a timely manner
  • Has ability to establish project cash flows and earned fee analysis
  • Ability to forecast a project from a cost and / or schedule perspective
