Are you a seasoned Quality Assurance professional with a passion for excellence and a keen eye for details? Are you excited by the prospect of leading a team in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards? If yes, then you may be the candidate we are looking for!

We are seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for superior product quality, operational excellence, and outstanding customer satisfaction. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing quality assurance teams, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the strategic quality assurance plan to ensure alignment with the company's overall strategic goals.
  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Oversee all quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international quality standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven decision-making processes to enhance product quality and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of the quality assurance strategy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Develop and manage the Quality Assurance budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and tools, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant software applications.
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Manager (CQM), or similar, is preferred.
