Human Resources Assistant 

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join their team in Vancouver, WA. This position will coordinate multiple human resource processes and programs, including, but not limited to, the recruitment lifecycle, billing reconciliation, onboarding experience, benefit and leave compliance.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Assistant
Assist in the recruitment cycle by tracking applicant flow, posting job ads, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, setting-up interviews, drafting offer letters and salary work-ups, processing background checks and conducting reference checks.
Assist with administering the on boarding program including by conducting new hire meetings, updating intranet orientation materials, processing new hire paperwork, coordinating start dates with other departments, and working with managers to prepare integration plans.
Assure compliance with COBRA guidelines and coordinate the process as directed.
Coordinate FMLA leaves of absence for corporate and company store employees.
Provide general human resources customer support to employees.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including proper posters in all locations.
Ensure department mail and any resulting actionable items get to the correct individual.
Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing and resolve payroll challenges.
Maintain employee personnel files and HRMS including, but not limited to; entering employee changes, new hires and separation, and running reports using the business intelligence tool.
Performs other HR-related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
1-2 years’ work experience required, 1 year human resources experience preferred.
Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of basic HR related functions.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Strong computer skills including UltiPro HRMS (or similar), MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point.
Independently plan and organize work.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; work cooperatively with others as a member of a service-oriented team.
Strong organizational skills.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task at a fast pace.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
