Amadeus' Business Intelligence Solutions offers to the Hospitality industry a suite of solutions providing a 360-degree view of rate, occupancy, and distribution trends with both forward-looking and historical data, as well as data from different competitive sets.
Summary of the role:
As an Assoc. Manager, QA (Automation) for Hospitality Business Intelligence team, your role will help build the applications that will shape the travel experience of our customers. You will be part of design and development of BI Initiatives, spanning across different Products and Platforms. Working, predominantly in Agile, you will be part of Scrum team(s).
You will lead a team accountable for the quality of the deliverables from integration test phase to deployment in production and managing the end-to-end testing for large and complex projects, products, or releases. You should have strong background in Automated Testing for web applications, knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, such as Java and experience working with different databases, such as Oracle, Druid etc. You should have a background setting CI/CD process, preferably using Jenkins integration

Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification, a plus.

- Manage a team of Staff employees and take accountability for their performance and results
- Define a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges and translates it into a concrete action plan. Works with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager.
- Act as a reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems.
- Optimize efficiency based on knowledge and experience with the policies, procedures, and business plan.
Description:
- Assess requirements & drive testing agility
- Define overall Automation test strategy. Own the automation test plan for the project, product, or release
- Analyze and size all testing requirements for internal and external customers and see how it fits in the Automation strategy
- Responsible for the monitoring of the software quality KPIs over the different testing phases
- Overview validation
- Development and Execution of Automation Suits, as needed.
- Follow-up issues and trigger actions to ensure sustainability of the product
- Deliver regular reports to QA, PDEF and DEV teams on the evolution of the quality along the testing phases
- Provide the appropriate sign off for functional, non-functional, and non-regression validations between each phase of the life cycle (integration, system, and acceptance)
- Validate the product to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity, and provide sign off releases
- Manage relations with key stakeholders
- Interface and communicate with Product Management, Project management, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, Migration and Development teams.
- Develop a relationship structure between the relevant levels of decision for both Amadeus and customer organizations involved in testing
About the ideal candidate:
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification, a plus.
Relevant work experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Automation space, with additional team management responsibilities currently (or recent past).
- Automation Testing experience with automation tools such as Selenium, UI testing, and using advanced programming skills including knowledge on Object Oriented Programming - Java, JavaScript
- Solid skill in framework designing
- Hands on experience performing backend/data testing
- Experience in handling CI/CD (like Jenkins) in QA space and working with version control tools (like GIT)
- Hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, XML, Json
- Strong experience in API Testing using tools like POSTMAN and SOAP UI
- Exposure working with Dockers
- Knowledge of tools like Maven, JUnit, TestNG
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience improving automated test coverage for existing applications.
- Business understanding
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good to have, Technical knowledge of Hospitality BI Analytics and Reporting solutions used within Amadeus.

- Computing: Selenium, Object Oriented Programming, JAVA, JavaScript, API/SOA Automation Testing, MS Office, Rally / JIRA
- Languages: Fluent written & verbal English mandatory.
- Specific knowledge: SQL, Agile, SAFe Methodologies
- Other: Cloud (Azure)
