Chief Accounting Officer

Consultative Search Group Gardena, CA Full-Time
A fast-growing technology company seeks a Chief Accounting Officer to join their dynamic team. The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will have responsibility for company financial accounting and external reporting andserve as a partner to the CFO and Executive Leadership team. The CAOwill demonstrate technical, strategic and operational expertise and leadership. They should be an excellent presentation and communicationskills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide global leadership and oversight for external reporting,financial accounting, internal control and consolidation processes
  • Oversee upgrade and expansion of finance systems and efficiency in theaccounting process
  • Manage relationships with auditors and ensure a strong internal controlenvironment and strong SOX compliance
  • Manage the Audit Committee agenda
  • Ensure timely accounting closing and ensure compliance and efficiencyin accordance to GAAP across all accounting and controllershipfunctions
  • Monitor and report on accounting policy landscape including existing andnew/evolving GAAP
  • Support business decision making by determining the financial impacts
  • Lead in the preparation and communication of periodic financial reporting
  • Provide leadership to the accounting function to enable increasedlevels of employee job satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Develop systems and culture of continuous improvement

    Qualifications:
  • CPA certification with 10+ years of progressive experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a business partner to acompany's leadership team and collaborate across the companyto improve business processes and decision-making
  • Excellent technical accounting skills including a thorough knowledge ofGAAP
  • Deep understanding of Finance data flow and tools
  • Demonstrated timely decision-making and communications on complexaccounting issues
  • Ability to manage and lead the audit process and the external auditorrelationship
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience - Preferred
  • SAP - Preferred
  • A genuine fascination for the EV space and a commitment to global change

  • Compensation: $280,000 - $350,000 + bonus (40%) + equity
