CAD Drafter II

Job Summary:

The CAD Drafter II at Wecom Fiber plays a crucial role in supporting the design and drafting activities for civil and architectural projects. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, an advanced knowledge of civil or architectural drawing sets, and attention to detail to produce accurate and precise technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD software based on project specifications and requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings for construction or implementation.

  • Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and project guidelines, incorporating feedback and changes as necessary.

  • Maintain drawing files, documentation, and records in an organized manner to facilitate project tracking, revisions, and future reference.

  • Assist in the preparation of design documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project details and progress to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in CAD drafting, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory. Electrical and Telecom Preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting and design purposes.
  • Advanced knowledge in civil or architectural drawing sets, including familiarity with construction terminology and principles.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines from project leads.
