Job Summary: Maintain the day-to-day operations of facility equipment, the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned, and perform preventative maintenance tasks.


Essential Job Duties:



  1. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.

  2. Capable of reading and interpreting technical procedures, service manuals, electrical schematics as necessary

  3. Assist maintaining inventory supplies and equipment parts informing/reporting needed repair parts and or low inventory stock

  4. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, work orders, as instructed per "Computerized Maintenance Program" and or assigned. Ensure all paperwork is filled out, clear, legible and accurate

  5. Complete special projects as directed by Plant Manager

  6. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors

  7. Readily available as required for on-call maintenance

  8. Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned

  9. Responsible for alerting Plant Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage within the plant

  10. Maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors and fellow employees

  11. Follow all work safe practices such as lockout/tagout, PPE and etc.

  12. Ensure compliance of all work related in a fair, ethical and consistent manner

  13. Follow established company policies



Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):



Education & Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent desired. Prior maintenance training desired and or 1-year experience in a manufacturing maintenance role



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to troubleshoot machinery such as inspect equipment and recognize issues creating equipment failure. Must possess the following skills: capable of diagnosing and remedying machinery electrical and mechanical failures, diagnosing and remedying hydraulic systems, capable of fabrication (metal cutting, metal assembly, building stands, tables etc), capable of metal welding, rebuilding pumps, valves ect. Must be able to work in cooperation with others, communicate effectively, attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Flexible to work variable schedules, including weekends



Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
