JOB SUMMARY General Med/ODU Unit is made up of 50% Med Surg and 50% Observational Decision Unit. The Medical Surgical patients consists of General Medicine patients. The Observational Decision Unit consists of patients who need 24 hour or less monitoring including critical care and non-critical care patients. Candidates interested in this position will need to obtain ACLS and Stroke certification within 6 months. Great place to utilize and/or learn both Med Surg and Critical Care skills. This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team. Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) and Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital. # Per the Blessing Health System#s Covid-19 Vaccination policy, all employees must be fully vaccinated.
