Job Description

A farming company that operates throughout the state is looking for a Safety Supervisor to implementing the company's policies and expectations on the ranch. Apply today!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement effective training programs and improve the program application as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to identify company training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Work directly with supervisors to identify employees that need to improve their performance, maintain good people, and track employee productivity.
  • Work with management to prepare hard copy training materials such as videos, presentations, and fliers.
  • Register, train and guide new and existing employees.
  • Manage employee's timesheets and assist with Pago.
  • Provide for workers: ice, water, restrooms, proper posters, PPE, trash, break trailers
  • Supervise and implement safety procedures on the ranch: proper use of equipment, employee safety, injury and accident reports, issuing warnings, transporting injured employees.
  • Collaborate with management to develop monitoring systems to ensure that all employees are performing job responsibilities according to training.
    • Daily metrics performance to ensure employee success (Reporting to employees).
  • Support other Hall safety supervisors and ranch managers in accomplishing the company's expectations.
  • Make sure to maintain the training areas and to be sure they are kept clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • Some experience with the following: Almond crop application
    • Equipment - tractors, harvest equipment, spray rigs, other development implements
    • Operations - harvest and spray events, hand crews
  • Speak, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish
  • Honest, respectful, and strong leadership skills
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
  • Communicate and supervise effectively
  • Ability to plan, deliver, execute, and support operations
  • Superior drive to learn, improve, and be a team player
