Job Description

Mental Health Specialist – Full Time & Part Time – All Shifts  

Fuller Hospital is seeking full time and part time Mental Health Specialists for all shifts. 

Who We Are  

Fuller Hospital is a 102-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospital Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will:  

  • Ensure a safe, therapeutic and engaging environment  

  • Assist with patient groups and activates 

  •  Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment  

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living 

  • Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in patients' behaviors

Job Requirements

Requirements 

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's in human services field preferred. Mental Health Specialists must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.  The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, have the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
