Job Description

Altec is currently seeking a Quality Trainer to be responsible for developing and improving Altec quality systems and directing and coordinating the training efforts of Altec associates on these systems and tools.

This highly visible position can work from any of these locations: Birmingham, AL; St. Joseph, MO; Roanoke, VA; Creedmoor, NC; Elizabethtown, KY; Burnsville, NC; Indianapolis, IN.

Travel to other locations will be required, approximately 50 - 60% of the time.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop quality systems and training programs for presentations and stay industry-informed to improve programs going forward
  • Train Altec associates and suppliers on quality systems and training tools
  • Support and assist Altec associates and suppliers with the implementation of quality systems and tools
  • Facilitate RCI events
  • Schedule and coordinate training with Altec plants
  • Lead and conduct on-site inspections and audits of Altec plants and suppliers
  • Evaluate critical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved
  • Identify quality problems and recommend solutions
  • Lead and conduct on-site inspections and audits of Altec plants and suppliers
  • Assist Altec locations with the use of quality tools to support quality objectives and improve business metrics
  • Work across all locations and help them to share best practices where practical.
