Collins Aerospace is looking for a Production Control and Materials Compliance Specialist who will support the Engineering Test Lab as well as the Central Materials and SIOP teams. You will be expected to perform a mix of daily operational transactions along with analytical, technical, and operational oriented tasks. You will perform all Production Control related transactions within the Collins Test Lab. You will collect, sanitize, analyze, and synthesize data; apply critical thinking & communications skills to make actionable recommendations; and drive those recommendations through to execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and inventory management and will be able to take a complex problem, decompose it, and build a compelling business case and gain leadership support. You will also participate in Materials Management related events across the organization and lead effective changes to drive continuous improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.
This position works in a Hybrid capacity (onsite and offsite), in Chula Vista, CA. Relocation benefits available for the ideal candidate.
Primary Responsibilities
* Perform daily transactions in the SAP system in support of the Engineering Test Lab
* Loading demand through Planned Independent Requirements
* Create requisitions for ROP inventory
* Production Order create, release, and in process management
* Good receipts and issues from stock
* Monthly physical inventory cycle counts
* Delivery of parts to customers
* Test Lab storeroom owner
* Implement process improvements to Test Lab Operations processes
* Troubleshoot and resolve SAP errors
* Analyze, develop, and maintain common policies and procedures for all Materials Management and SIOP activities across the Aerostructures Business
* Drive adherence to these policies and procedures within the sites and program value streams
* Develop testing procedures for ensuring compliance to the published policies and procedures
* Work closely with Materials leadership on a variety of strategic initiatives to drive impactful business outcomes
* Act as liaison between stakeholders to drive projects and communicate results & expectations
* Provide analytical support to Operations and Materials business functions, linking together operations, value streams, and data teams
* Develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and identify financial and operational improvements for the business.
* Prepare operational metrics to drive inventory and cost reductions across the organization
* Develop tools for real time problem resolution for Materials metrics and look for opportunities to improve the business operations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reports are aligned; analyze any variances
* Travel up to 15%, domestic and international
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
* Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
* SAP Production and inventory management transactional expertise
* SAP system trouble shooting experience
* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
* Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
* Experience communicating and presenting to a wide variety of audiences
* Ability to analyze large sets of data with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or related
* Experience in Finance, Economics, or related analytic fields
* Continuous improvement experience in the areas of Lean, Six Sigma, or CORE
* Understanding of financial metrics and operational drivers that impact profit and loss
* Operations and Inventory analysis experience
* Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
