Position Purpose
To lead and direct the activities of the Surveillance shift in order to ensure protective oversight for persons and property and Casino compliance, in the absence of the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Overseeing the activities of the Surveillance shift.
•Coach and mentor employees as often as necessary to ensure successful operations.
•Be knowledgeable in all Casino games and associated rules.
•Ensure the protection of company assets throughout the Casino.
•Provide an objective investigation and documentation of complaints, allegations of theft, workplace accidents and procedural violations.
•Assist in the training of new employees.
•Proofread and distribute Surveillance reports.
•Field Management calls regarding investigations, reviews, etc.
•Maintain a HIGH level of confidentiality.
•Practice the 5-10 rule with flawless execution internally & externally.
Requirements
Education/Qualifications
•Must have problem solving skills, keen observation skills and computer skills.
•Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Must be able to make clear, level-headed decisions under pressure and/or emergency circumstances.
•Must be willing to attend training and meetings outside of the scheduled work hours, if required.
•Must be able to work overtime and alternating shifts, based on the need of the Department.
•Be able to complete other assigned tasks.
Licensing
•Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License
Work Requirements
Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
