Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting functions

  • Performs month-end closing process and reporting

  • Provides financial planning and analysis efforts.

  • Provides decision support to the operations and commercial teams.




  • Lead monthly closing process

  • Prepare monthly standard and non-recurring journal entries

  • Prepare certain monthly account reconciliations and checklists

  • Prepares monthly financial statements including P&L and Balance Sheet

  • Coordination with partner on various processes including billing, invoicing, wire request, purchase orders

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting

  • Support preparation of annual budget, period forecasts, and projections

  • Assistance with financial analyses and ad hoc reports

  • Supports annual audit

  • Provide financial decision support on capital spending, working capital management

  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of processes

  • Maintain Cost Standards


Senior Financial Accountant Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • MBA and/or CPA a plus.

  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in accounting role

  • Experience in cost accounting and/or manufacturing company preferred

  • Experience with financial accounting software; SAP (FI-CO-PA) strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Experience preparing monthly financial statements.
