Mechanical Products is a stand-alone business unit with about $600M in annual revenue.
Our global locations include 58 manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 3,600 employees.
We are currently searching for Production Supervisor to be based out of our Hebron Ohio facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will have a demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety regulations and a successful track record of managing people and programs.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Experience working with unions preferred
Supervisory experience Required.
Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Ensure that federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and codes are observed
Manage all EH&S recordkeeping and reporting requirements
Demonstrated skills in developing subordinates to their best potential in addition to teambuilding, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with all organizational levels. Must include written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated skills in implementing and using formal continuous process improvement techniques.
Ability to react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks.
Help develop controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysis.
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
Conduct investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technology.
Possess a high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety
Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization from senior management to hourly employees.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
Experience developing and documenting Standard Work for all levels of the organization.
